Get the Ninja. Cheaper than the vitamix and is a total workhorse for my frozen fruit and ice. Great value.

FWIW, I have been cooking for 20 years and have had really good blenders and food processors. My Black and Decker food processor bought in 2007 is still alive and works great. My Oster blender bought around 2012ish still works great. My Nutribullet worked for around 4-5 years but I gave up on that due to its really big cup which was hard to carry/hold in my car. Since then, whatever blenders I have bought for smoothies have gone in the trash. I think I need to stick to reputed brands rather than buying some random crappy stuff on Amazon.

I make smoothies with whole flax seed and chia seed (for the omega 3’s). Vitamix is the only blender that will make the smoothie totally smooth. I even have a smaller one for travel (called the Vitamix One…got it for $150 on Amazon). It makes smaller smoothies but still works like a vitamix.

I think op should try whichever one they are not doing currently. You can’t have that many blenders break, all different brands, and it be the blenders’ fault

So the first two articles I read about what order to layer smoothie ingredients in were completely opposite.

The answer to this is always Vitamix. You need liquid, though - try plain Kefir.

I have a Ninja and I've used it for daily smoothies for over 5 years, no issues. I really like how easy it is to clean.

I wanted a Vitamix when I got it but I was worried I'd get it and then not actually use it, as it was just for smoothies and we have good immersion blender and a very nice food processor we use for everything else. I'm glad I went with the Ninja because it's been perfect for smoothies and it's so much cheaper. But if I didn't have the food processor already, I probably would have splurged on the Vitamix.
