+1. He’s completely delusional. He’s basing his policy choices on the fact that a work colleague CHOSE to live in a different neighborhood 40 years ago? We’re all getting punished because of this foggy memory which may or may not be true? This is scary stuff.
Ward 3 residents voted for a guy who campaigned on making your quality of life worse. Sadly, he’s good at his job and delivering on his promise.
I voted for the Republican. I have to live with my neighbors choices, but hoping next time they'll consider alternatives to Bernie Sanders type representation.
The republican was an awful candidate and barely mentioned crime on his platform. Nice guy and I spoke to him at length, but he wasn’t running to win.
His campaign was heavy on no bike lanes…yeah, some people are passionate for or against, but 95% of us don’t care.
He also spent a ton of time promoting charter schools. I pointed out that 90% of Ward 3 is DCPS or private and we don’t have any charters in Ward 3. Told him again just not a compelling issue for Ward 3.
He claims he is really an independent and only ran Republican because the Republican Party refuses to stand down and not run somebody and endorse an independent. As a result, if he was independent he would split the vote with a republican.

So for some reason Frumin thinks what upper class black professionals really want is neighborhoods with more criminals and drug addicts because it makes them feel more comfortable. And when that doesn't work (because it's obviously not what they want), he'll say they're uncomfortable moving here because we didn't put in even more criminals and drug addicts.

By whom? The feds already run our system.
Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:We attended. I'm not really sure what to say. The only good take away is that Frumin states out loud that he support Pintos bill (I think). And then lots of rather defensive/finger pointing mumbo jumbo from lots of people who should be addressing crime , and then the meeting was taken over by truly rambling people which I didn't think was bad - these are the people Frumin is shoving in buildings with no services, so was hilarious to watch him field their "questions". Then things adjourned.
We have a long path ahead, sigh.
What happened here? For some reason these two or three people were the only ones not be given microphones and their questions were not repeated and Frumin just kind of shuffled uncomfortably up front and gave pleading glances to the Police Chief. It made for a funny five minutes and as the previous poster said, demonstrated the need for these services which Frumin always claims exist but are apparently not available to those who need them.
Also noticed that the OUC Director kept on saying to call the OUC (311) for everything. Have you ever tried to call the OUC. They ALWAYS claim that you are supposed to be calling another number and then they just connect you to a random message line no one answers. But she certainly wanted to interject often.
If “Bill” had only bought that damn house we wouldn’t have mentally ill living unsupported in my building.

Not enough police. When OUSA does prosecute, judges throw out cases all the time. And if by some miracle a case makes it to a jury, no way all 12 of our “peers” will convict.
Also Frumin has some weird plan to bring “hope” to the youth of DC.
God help us.
Did he ride his bike?
