Do they put you asleep? Or is it twilight like wisdom teeth removal? How is the recovery? Was it awful? My dad had it done when I was a child and his stitches ripped open one night and he began spurting blood. The doctor came to our house to close him up! It was scary! This experience has tainted my view on the whole thing. So tell me about your experience!


How do you know when it's "time"? I've been told I"ll likely need it at some point, and wonder if i should do it sooner rather than later. I am 48.
I kind of feel like I won't be at the plint where I would say "I cant handle" based on past things (I can deal with issues more than I should be able to, especially if they come on gradually) but might be thriled to see better

I do not recommend her. I went to her and am disappointed with the results. The incision line does follow the eye crease. She was harried and gruff. She was really disappointing.

so you do a vision field test first and then you do it again with your eyelids taped up. The doctor will determine if there is enough difference.

Also I was holding my brow up and getting tension headaches.

Tips on answering the questions? I wouldn’t say mine affects my vision, but more my mental health as I always feel weighted down, like I have to blink it out. It’s so heavy, especially at night.

Had both upper lids done over 23 years ago at age 32 for naturally droopy lids. Looks very natural and is still holding up! I used Dr. Kevin Perman. My husband also had to have his done at age 50 and also used Dr. Perman. His look is natural and the procedure was quick. Recovery was painless and easy. Local anesthesia.
