Number of players is key. Bunco — sounds like they are more into socializing while CASU along doing something. If you’re a board gamer trying to convert a group, proceed with caution. Don’t break out Catan, Agricola, 7 Wonders, great Western Trail, Gloomhaven, Sominion, etc. Just don’t.

Party games to consider for a group of 6-7, some can do more:

- wavelength
- just one
- wits and wagers
- code names (code names duet is co-op)

Each person brings 3 exact pieces of their favorite thing <$10. It could be 3 face masks, 3 nail polishes, 3 gift cards to starbucks, etc. Everyone puts their name once into hat #1, and 3 times into hat #2. Draw a name from hate #1 and that person introduces their item and says why it's their favorite. Then, they draw 3 names from hat #2 and those people "win" her 3 items. We had a great time last time we did this, and everyone went home with something they may not have ever heard of. Some people love being creative and bringing something really out there, while others were happy to give/receive gift cards. You can set the $ limit cheaper if need be.

So it’s like a white elephant exchange except there’s no trading and you take home 3 random items that other people have selected?

Out of curiosity, when you and your friends throw birthday parties for your respective kids, do you follow the traditional custom of guests bringing the birthday boy/girl gifts, or do you specify a no-gift policy?
