+1. Just don’t worry about it! That happened everywhere! I think I’m the only person on the block that shoveled my sidewalk. The rest of the block to the stop sign has 6 inches of snow untouched.


And, what’s the practical impact?

Do people walk down the sidewalk with any regularity? (Dog walkers don’t count since they could easily walk their dog on their own property.)

Our neighbors either. One is mid-30’s staying at her parents house. Spoiled and doesn’t know any better. Another is a family of four, parents are in their late 40’s, kids in their tweens. They are fat and lazy. Is that considered a disability these days?

Safer to walk on snow than ice.

Many people can’t shovel for health reasons.

If sidewalks on main commuter streets with bus stops aren’t being shoveled, why risk your health to shovel a sidewalk in neighborhoods where most people commute by car rather than walk?

If you commute by foot, then you should have legit snow boots.

Not OP but there’s a house like this on our street—we see them out all summer doing yard work, other strenuous activities, playing with kids, but come winter they only shovel the strip to back their SUV out of the driveway.

Their elderly neighbors get out and shovel but these folks are just entitled.

Reported them last winter after I fell walking the dog (no sidewalk on the other side of the street) and code enforcement ticketed them.


Is this Maryland (Moco), DC, or VA?
