6 teachers leaving in the middle of the school year is alarming. I’ve never heard of that before.

No school is perfect. PVI has its cons as any other school.

Don't most stadiums have away side and home side??? I played high school sports in NoVa and all the stadiums had visitor side bleachers and away side bleachers.

My kids' private does not (just bleachers on one side) --but it's just split down the middle. Visitors on one side, home on the other of the bleachers.

Weird to be above and below one another.

PVI hater is now ranking up there with SAAS hater.

It’s actually more than 6. Just 6 posted in the parent page. Guarantee the parent who thinks it’s isn’t a sh$t show is an athlete’s parent.

There’s a reason the diocese is watching, why Birbage met with teachers AND last year during the school day. Ask how many teachers and admin left last year. This is year 4; exiting is not due to the “move” to Loudoun. Toxic environment. That’s why kids are leaving and teachers too.

Look at the whole picture. The whole system. Not just your snowflake being happy.

There is a nationwide teacher shortage... LCPS recently approved additional teacher pay raises to address retention. Would be curious of the teacher turnover rate across all the diocesan schools for comparison.

6 teachers leaving mid year this year can’t be attributed to the move 4 years ago. Come on. It’s a sh&t show and you know it.

Drive into the parking lot in the morning. Holy hell. That’s an example of the school’s culture. Nasty.

Interesting, my children attend PVI both came from a Catholic K-8, current freshman and junior and love PVI. Yes, teachers are leaving some of which is to be expected after the geographical move from Fairfax. My Children are happy and academically challenged, not all schools are for every student and that can be said of any/all privates. We live in Loudoun and hear gripes from neighbors and friends about the local public schools, my family is happy and would chose PVI again without hesitation. Please expand on the @hit show with examples.

It’s a s&it show. It was the biggest mistake we made for our junior DD. It’s not the @non-Catholic kids”… we’re Catholic. Teachers are discontent and leaving. At least 6, including AP classes, have left mid-year. The principal puts his head down and pretends to not see anyone or anything. It’s the oddest thing I’ve ever seen. He’s a good teacher, lousy administrator.

Sports rule. The sports parents and boosters are maniacal. Forget about theatre. Low talent, big ego director, a really unpleasant, horrible person, has been with the school a few years. Kids are so unhappy there and such an unhealthy program. My DD heard about it and steered clear. A friend’s daughter had a troubling experience, but nothing done.

The new head of school fluctuates between running around a with surprised and baffled expression, then seemingly angry, but mostly hides in her office. She ignores emails.

The parent Facebook page is managed by some Uber Catholic parents. They delete negative comments or complaints about the school. it’s a mess.

Bishop Burbidge came last year during a student walk out. Many parents were there. The diocese is aware of the discontent and issues, but no changes. Typical for the Catholic Church.

Run away. Far far away. We wish we had. Horrible culture.

I know a few kids who, recently, left PVI for public for academic reasons. Another one for social issues. I also know many PVI grads who loved their time there. Most, however attended the Fairfax campus.
