I have a 4th grader. Maybe 2 years ago she asked some pointed questions about how exactly the sperm gets to the egg, so I told her how. She’s made it clear since then that she doesn’t really remember that conversation.

If you’re OP, what then is “the sex talk” you think you now need to have?

Or have you only answered questions and given books so far? In which case, yeah, still apologize. You should have done it sooner.
