High school hockey is SO bad in the DMV. The quality of play is awful.

Used to be 3 times a week. Also paid coaches (of dubious pedigree) and workout sessions. Don't forget the team fee on top of that plus your travel costs. You're looking at $15-20K to play on a team that may not be better than MYHA, especially at older ages. Maybe with academy model they'll ditch the AYHL.
