Thank you all for the kind words. My son who is special needs and an only child is absolutely devastated. That was his best buddy.
I'm sorry. Grief is a difficult, painful thing to experience. Take it easy this week and when/if you're ready, it might be good to take your son to do something in the cat's honor like place a stone in your garden, donate cat toys to a shelter or make a remembrance area in your home with a photo and something the cat liked.
