I am utterly disappointed with FH Furr's plumbing and HVAC services, to say the least. We were lured into signing up for their so-called "gold premier Comfort as a Service Plan" under the guise of receiving top-notch, front-of-the-line service for our plumbing and HVAC needs. Little did we know, it was all a facade to fleece us of our hard-earned money.

For a whopping $300 per month, we expected nothing short of excellence when it came to addressing any issues with our plumbing or HVAC systems. However, when the time came for us to utilize the services we had been diligently paying for, FH Furr's true colors started to show.

Our kitchen faucet began leaking uncontrollably, turning our once pristine kitchen into a watery mess. After calling FH Furr, they promptly sent over a plumber who, instead of efficiently fixing the problem, took the opportunity to upsell us on unnecessary items like new water connections and a water pressure reducing valve. Despite us already purchasing the faucet, they still had the audacity to charge us a staggering $1500 for the installation and additional items.

To add insult to injury, shortly after the plumber left, we discovered that water was still leaking under the sink. We called FH Furr once again, only to have another plumber sent over who spent a mere 30 minutes half-heartedly inspecting the work and concluding there was no leak. Lo and behold, the leak persisted, and despite promises of a Plumbing Supervisor contacting us, we were left hanging for hours without any resolution.

In a last-ditch effort to salvage the situation, I requested to cancel the maintenance contract, hoping to put an end to this nightmare. However, even that simple request seemed like pulling teeth, as I was told a customer retention person would contact me, only to be met with silence for hours on end.

Now, not only do I still have a leak under my sink, but I've also been left high and dry by FH Furr. It's abundantly clear that their priority lies in raking in profits rather than providing quality service to their customers. Save yourself the headache and avoid FH Furr at all costs.

I wonder if when private equity buys out one of these firms that's part of their management overhaul.

I have worked in cybersecurity for 15 years, CISSP, Masters, etc. Firms sell bots by the millions, so any company can purchase legitimately appearing reviews and stars (4.8 stars!) for a fee. Online reviews are meaningless.

They were the HVAC subcontractors for Costco, I don’t know if they still are. I would always see their salesperson at the Wheaton Costco.

Also had a bad experience with them.

- The reviews may not be real. Check how many of these positive reviews have that only review on their profile.

- While they are very overpriced, they tend to respond quickly (I guess because they have more staff)

- Lots of people don't know much about home improvement/maintenance and can be easily duped with a good sales pitch.

Quoted me 25K for electric panel replacement. I thought he was joking. Based on experience, all the 5-star review companies have Google remove any negative reviews, or harass people who leave negative reviews to remove them.

I am the OP. I didn’t follow up with my previous contractor as we got busy and didn’t believe the FH Furr technician. We are still alive. They just wanted to scam me..

I really lost trust with this company. They are not like they use to be years ago. Now, they are just blood sucker. Not dedication, do bad job but charge high, take advantages of customers, really SHAME!

We also hate them. Used to use a local company in Alexandria and then FH Furr bought them. We heard all of the old people left and all of the people they send over are clowns. Also the high pressure tactics are offensive. Always trying to upsell us something. One guy mansplained to me how my faucet worked.

How has the Dominion insurance worked out for you? We are considering the same but looking for feedback from folks who have actually processed claims with Dominion.

OP. Forgot to mention the high pressure tactic. The technician said that because of the (tiny, super blurry in picture) crack he found, he would have to shut off the gas to the furnace, that is no more heating.

Luckily, my MIT-educated engineer DH was at home (unseen by the tech) and grilled him about the problem. After thinking what the tech said was highly unlikely, after the tech left he turned on the heat again. I would have not been able to do that on my own.

We used to have their monthly service plan. The times they came by were ok and they didn't necessarily always upsell but they charged so so much of we needed anything. Then our AC died and we got quotes including from FH Furr, GAC and some smaller companies. FH Furr was by far the worst. The guy insisted on two 3 hour high pressure sales visits right smack in the middle of dinner time. The guy even had the gall to say he was giving us of his time for free. And the quotes were ridiculous, like really ridiculous. GAC was expensive too but not to this level.
