In that time, I drink coffee, check emails/texts I missed overnight, feed the cat and clean the litter box, lay out my things for the day, make the bed, etc.
I do not eat anything before running, because I want an empty stomach. I have something light (an apple OR a hard boiled egg) after my run. I'm genuinely not that hungry in the morning.
To add: I don't stretch (not proud of this). I do walk 5-10 minutes before and after my run.
