So took Algebra 1 in 7th, Geo in 8, Alg Ii in 9th and precalc in 10th?
Correct.

Where are you getting this factoid from?
You can get this “factoid” yourself by comparing the number of students achieving a math score of 800 or 36 on their first attempt (less than 1.0%, so less than 35,000) with the 2022 AP Calculus BC test count of over 120K, which equals or maybe even understates the number of students taking the class. The test part hasn’t gone up in 2023, but I’ll bet money the AP test figure has …

Likely, but into general engineering, not into a competitive major like CS

From McLean? Any advice or anything that you would recommend for a student interested in applying to VT engineering?

Yes, but most of these are probably from ROVA and OOS, not northern VA.

Congratulations on the acceptance

Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Why would anything more than that be required?
It certainly isn't required, but many NOVA engineering/CS admitted students take Calc BC as a junior and Mult Var Calc with Linear Alg as a senior. With that said, I am sure they admit BC calc only students from the area as long as the rest of the application is strong.
Only when it's offered. Our school doesn't offer MVC or anything after Calc BC...
