Long nails would complicate my life and bother me. They pull more attention to me than short nails. I don't need any more attention.
Sorry, op, can't help. About to clean and trim mine.

My nails have always grown like crazy, plus, I am ambidextrous, so when I was a young woman, I grew them (not too long) and painted them myself often.

Then, DD came along. I said I would go back to growing out and painting my nails once the baby was out of diapers.

The baby is now 20, and I still cut my nails short every week. In the intervening 20 years, all the typing on small electronics became impossible for me to do if my nails started to grow. I am happy with short fingernails.

I get great looking pedicures, however!

The contact lens issue is real. The second taking them out gets difficult, I'm cutting/filing my nails down.

I don't find the shape that's popular right now very appealing, but to each their own!

If you are going to a fancy event, get temporary nails, otherwise keep them short and clean.

I guess people get used to work with long painted nails because its very popular among grocery store check out girls.

No suggestions here either - my biggest challenges are putting in/taking out contact lenses and buttoning the top button on jeans!

I keep mine trimmed right at the ends of my fingers now, but have had them long at times.

Get used to using the pads of your fingertips instead of the point. Knuckles if you need to press in something. Pinch things between the pad of your thumb and the side of your first finger.

You get used to it. I have very strong, fast-growing nails and have had them long most of my life. I feel weird using my hands when I cut them off.

Not an issue for me. Love them. Can’t imagine having short nails.

Same it looks so gross and low class. Like what a weird thing to do intentionally.

Ling nails are fine if you are Paris Hilton but for normal humans, neither hygienic nor functional.
