Grocers? No, they might get cold, at least give them a blanket

Yes but I would park in the shade to avoid the sun warming up the trunk.

....well OP is asking because they are NOT going home, they're out and about for 2 hours. This is a different discussion if OP were heading home right away and then just letting stuff sit in her car.

Not if you park in the sun. In the shade, yes.

do you normally go straight to and from the grocery store? 2 hours is within the normal realm of errands IMO. like grocery pickup, pick up dog food, a prescription, maybe stop at a second/specialty, and then grab CFA for lunch. thats about 60-90 minutes.

I used to go to Aldi during my lunch break during the winter and then use insulated bags and drive home. Park in shade, use the trunk, and its fine. Especially if its under 30 degrees.

+1 I wouldn’t even worry about meat or dairy if you’re in DC. It is literally the same temperature as my refrigerator right now.

Not if parked in my heated garage. Or in Florida. What’s the ambient temp?

Your car is basically going to be the same temp as your fridge, so yes, of course I'd leave in there.
