PP is correct that there is daily intra-camp scrimmaging. It’s the last session each day. Some weeks, other local clubs will come in the afternoon a day or two to scrimmage in the afternoon.

The kids in the summer program are divided into small groups each week and they scrimmage against each other every day. If that is what you meant by "other teams".

Yes, I got it, thank you. My question remains and would like it to stay visible so someone else can answer it if they know - Do kids get to play games against other teams or is it just field training?

My view is that camps like this require a certain level of perspective and honesty to make it worthwhile. The reality is that there is no camp in the world that you can go to for just one or two weeks that is going to make a dramatic (maybe small) difference in a players game. Skill gains take time, patience and steady hard work over longer periods. It's just the reality of the sport. That said, there is a lot of value in traveling to a different country, playing with different players, understand new footballing cultures and methodologies and learning from people that have more experience in the game than we do in this country. There is something greater than football to be gained as well with traveling. If your goal is the latter not the former, I've heard Marcet is a quality experience. But you have to be honest about what it is...a very expensive soccer camp, in a nice location, that caters to wealthy consumers who want their kids to have an experience in Barcelona and feel what it is like to train in a Spanish football environment. The cost alone limits the level of the camps as it is cost prohibitive for many. Of course there are likely some decent players there per week, but the baseline is average at best. You just have to be realistic about your goals and what this camp will achieve. It's probably one of the better combinations of experience and football but you are paying a premium for that and you can argue that the premium is very high for what you're actually getting.

Has anyone had a chance to train at Marcet this past year? Curious about the quality of the summer week-long courses. Do kids get to play games against teams or is it just field training?
