The second one is the only one that feels warm. They rest look scary and depressing.

i was surprised to read the negative reactions. maybe i was viewing them as i think a little girl would.

i love the second one. i think it would inspire so many stories.

the storybook vibes is the only one that i didn’t like. it could inspire scary stories.

They all look like tenements.

Black and white is a mood. Grey nurseries are a mood.

Have you looked at the "Sad Beige Children" memes? There actually are very nice-looking products and clothes in the pictures, but the pictures point out that this minimalism is an adult aesthetic. Kids are a little more random and usually very multicolored with their preferences.

My nursery was pale green and all the details were on the bedding and curtains. I never found any art that went well with them.

I do like murals. I always thought as an older child that it would be cool to have a fancy muraled bedroom. I would have liked an ecosystem/animal theme or a fairytale scene (but girly/princess fairy as I mentioned above).

Adding the color versions for the third one … I do think I lean toward that black and white for this one:

They are all extremely busy and evoke feelings of stress to me. I like my house to be calm, but it’s yours not mine so do whatever you like

This. 1 and 3 are especially crowded and stressful. I would not do any of these.

This is a little better, but it's still telling that they set up the photo with all white furniture, very plain light fixture, no window treatments, and a two-color rug. Because that's what it takes for this kind of imagery not to be overwhelming.

For the same price as stick-on murals, you can get really nice, big framed art. You could evend hang it on a brighty colored (solid) accent wall. The beauty of framed art is that it is "contained," so it doesn't overwhelm. I know bold murals are the trendy thing, but they only look in posed photos, not in real life.

They all stress me out. The only one that's okay is #2.

Exactly this. The photos only look okay-ish because the rooms are so sparsely filled. With actual signs of life, these walls would be waaaay too much. It will make the room feel small and cluttered, which honestly would give me anxiety.

The storybook one is a little better, but I still think it will be too much and will not age well.

They are very busy walls, my kids have toys that wouldn’t match, it would look terrible, and you’d need to redecorate after a few years when they outgrow this. It’s not something where it grows with the kids past kindergarten.

I thought a nursery should have primary colors? Is this outdated? Pre-kids we bought a house that had a nursery in primary colors. White walls with a primary striped border around the middle with primary balloons "floating" on the upper half.

We couldn't afford to take it all down, and that was my office. I found it a cheerful place to work.
