PP, do you mean at any hospital? I just had a baby in May at Sibley, and there was no problem with my older DD coming to meet her sibling in the hospital. Also, my sister had all of her kids at INOVA Fair Oaks and her kids were allowed to come there as well (this was pre-pandemic though, so I am not sure what their current policy is).
That's so crazy. I've never been allowed to have kids at the hospital, as I said, in 14 years of having babies in this area.

Yes, I also read that when I was pregnant but I delivered last week and my toddler was allowed. I didn’t have to request an exception or special permission for that
But sneaking a child in vs it being allowed are two very different things. If staff were polite and didn't mention it doesn't mean you didn't break the rules.
