No extra hair or irregular periods?

lol, no. You might be confusing it with steroids.

It’s not, but randomly posting nonsense of forums is bad for your brain over time.

F, 56. I plan to start taking creatine monohydrate. I lift 3x's a week so will start by taking only on those days. From what I've read it's best used in powder form, not pill form. From what I've researched there are no negatives, only positives to taking creatine monohydrate. It does hydrate your muscles so you may temporarily see the number on the scale go up, but this is temporar.

But he also felt that it bulked him up too much so he stopped...so I started taking it... at 50 years old. : ) I honestly don't know HOW MUCH it helps. But I'd say it certainly helps. I have seen gains everywhere. Strength, muscle mass, etc etc but I'm not sure how much of that I would have gained without creatine, so it's hard to say. It's supposed to help with recovery, brain health, and other things as well.

I started with Thorne but then they ran out of creapure micronized version so I switched to Nutricost. Both unflavored. They were both recommended by people I trust and I've been happy with it. I take 5g a day either with my protein shake after I lift or, if it's a non lift day, I'll take it in the morning by adding it to my yogurt after a walk or something. I've have zero ill effects. No cramping. No stomach issues. Nothing. Time to get my other son on it now that he's entering HS. He's a football player.

My husband just had bloodwork and he has slightly low creatine so I am looking for a supplement for him and after researching I might try it was well. What is "Creature micronized"? Where do you buy Nutricost? online or in a store?

Are you sure that wasn't CREATININE? Not the same thing, and it's creatinine that is on standard bloodwork panels.

DP: PP #1 (DW) I think it's Creatinine you're seeing not Creatine. Standard bloodwork does not measure creatine.
