Subject: Anyone else text “Merry Christmas!”
I don't pay much attention to it, but I don't text "Merry Christmas" much because we send cards. I never got the address of a friend who moved away so I texted her a few years go. I assumed when I did not hear back she was crazy busy. She did finally text me a number of months later to tell me how crazy and upsetting her Christmas was-parent passed away, husband hospitalized for strange illness. Life can throw a lot at you.

We also mail out cards.
So if all you’re doing to maintain a connection w people is an annual text blast, good luck.
I’ll write back if I can.

Add extra exclamation marks next time. Your text was too dry and basic. A little razzle dazzle will do the trick!

Don’t sweat it. It was the digital equivalent of sending a Christmas card. Less effort actually, since one could cut and paste down a whole contact list in minutes. And even then it most likely to catch people in the middle of opening gifts, playing with kids, entertaining family, cooking a meal, traveling to a holiday gathering - bazillions of things that require personal interaction.
