Anything by Alison Roman or Eric Kim. Rebekah Peppler for drinks (frozen Tom Collins and hot toddy are perfect). The cheesy white bean bake is a great quick weeknight meal - I usually add kale or spinach.

It's the same gist and also from Melissa Clark, but the Food52 recipe of this dish is MUCH better than the NYT version. Like a lot of NYT recipes they're kind of skeletons to tweak, not recipes to follow line for line. Check out the more complete one if you're not looking to sub. The multiple fresh herbs vs just the dill make a big difference for me.

I just looked in my recipe box labeled “Tried and Tasted Great”, these are just a few. i do read through all the reviews and make adjustments if there’s an overall theme.
-chickpea and coconut turmeric stew
-kuku paka
-fettuccine with asparagus and smoked salmon
-chocolate and guinness cake
