We do somewhat laborious meals but nothing over the top because I don't want to be cooking endlessly either day. So typically:

Christmas Eve - tamales, enchiladas, Mexican food

Christmas Day Brunch - eggnog French toast, chocolate crepes, biscuits and gravy with eggs

Christmas Day dinner - Homemade bread bowls and broccoli cheddar soup with salad

Christmas Eve for us- fancy cocktails, fancy dinnner, lots of excitement and anticipation. Christmas Day is also nice (and planned out- this year itโ€™s a ham and sides, with a torte for dessert) but more casual, kids still in PJs etx

So like a regular Sunday except some Christmas music thrown in?

Not PP but we don't do a big meal either day. It's still an exciting day of friends and family. The meal doesn't make our holiday.

Same Christmas Day is *exhausting* to me. Christmas Day is for quiche (made in advance) and for us leftovers from Christmas Eve dinner!!!

Christmas Eve is special, though, too, we make a high-maintenance lasagna. The kids were super helpful this year, which was a nice change.

What is high maintenance lasagna?

Christmas Day, with my oldest friend and her extended family.
