What do they do all day? Unless you have a huge home, there's only so much cooking and cleaning a person can do, especially if you don't have kids. I would be bored out of my mind!

Good point. I assumed someone I know's girlfriend, who moved into his house after a few months of dating, was not employed. Turns out she is, she has a WFH job.

I can be a stay at home boyfriend. It brings me pleasure to see the look on people’s faces when I create meals in the kitchen. I also clean, do laundry and the kicker, I have income and medical for the rest of my life.

Number one rule to become a SAHM is don’t be a SAH GF. See: cow/milk.
I'm guessing all of them are hoping to seamlessly transition into SAHM status. Big risk to this though.

A pregnancy solves that issue. She’s probably also a tenant and would be very hard to evict in a lot of cities

Another example of how social media is so toxic (the WSJ article was about how these girls post all over social media about their SAH lives). I admit to feeling threatened by how perfect their lives seem- don't work, just work out, cook and look beautiful and have someone take care of you. It's an illusion though. Both the reality of their lives now and their future. These situations generally don't work out in the long run for women like this for so many reasons, but unfortunately lots of young girls will see this and want to emulate it, because, social media.

So this generation has gone from living with parents for free when they are grown to finding a partner that will pay the bills. Once the partner gets bored he/she can just dump the one they have and get a new one. Mean time the free loader goes through life never understanding how to earn a living or become independent. Who takes care of them when they have no social security and they are in their 60’s or beyond?
