We are new to Beauvoir this year and parents have been welcoming. There’s a wide variety of families at the school and there are some people who clearly keep to their own circles but the vast majority of people are warm and friendly.

I would think Catholic schools would be a good option. For private schools, the range of socioeconomics is much higher.

Agree on Potomac. Our experience is truly lovely moms and dads. For a pretty wealthy school in McLean, parents seem grounded.

Agree, plus a lot of hot Moms.

The "hot'' moms are at the publics.

by liberal to you mean open minded and accepting, or do you mean BLM and anti-Trump crowd?

I have had kids at four different private schools in DC between lower schools and upper schools. In general, all the parents have been lovely. But, across three kids and 28 grades so far, a couple of years have just been stinkers. It’s usually a handful of queen bee moms that unfortunately end up in the same grade and sink the vibe of that grade. It matters most in the lower grades because parents are more involved in the school. By Upper School, kids are really running their own lives and school experience and you interact less with the other parents.
