DH and I have more conflict over that than just about anything else. He thinks he is so witty. I think I am very funny. We sometimes don’t agree with each others’ self perception of “sense of humor.”

Your response is part of the problem. I never said anything about a job or career,. I know plenty of woman who don’t work who are very successful in life.

I also never used the word man or spouse, I said marriage. Prioritize marriage above everything, if your spouse does the same thing you will have a great marriage. I am not religious at all but the analysis in ever decision made centers around what is best for our marriage.
