NP and I was in a similar situation. Smile and nod, don’t make waves and get the heck out of there. It is most likely her and it will not change. And even if you do everything you can, she will always kick you when she feels down and mean. And she may be nice sometimes. This is toxic and it will mess with your head if you stay too long.
Get out.
Good luck - you will find a better place. 50 is not too old to move on; it is too old to put up with this BS and wonder if it is you. It’s not. You can’t fix her.

I am like you and had a boss like this exactly! I walked a line with it, ensuring I was always professional. Realize she likes your work but simply finds you annoying or something about you annoying--sometimes it may be you are both too much alike and you are taking her thunder. Either way, she has set expectations. You may want to find a new job though.

"Came here to talk about something else?" What you're describing sounds like mostly a social event - are we missing something? Were you mostly talking about yourself instead of the coworker you were supposed to be celebrating? It sounds really abrupt, like if you were on a sales call and wouldn't shut up about your kids, not a party.
