Subject: Fighter jets just went overhead again...
For a low daytime flyover, the answer is almost always a funeral at Arlington National Cemetery. Very occasionally it’s a sporting event, but usually it’s the missing man formation for a funeral.

Hardly (and I was downtown the entire day on Sept. 11, until I went to the Capitol that evening). It was a quick overflight. Obviously nothing else was going on, or you’d have gotten a news alert or an emergency bulletin about it.
