I do this sometimes and would not want coworkers to see me just sitting in my car (would seem weird). I also do this occasionally when picking up a kid from sports practice etc (park in a parking lot close by but not at the sports field)- because I don’t want other parents to see and think it is strange, or think I am being antisocial or rude. The rest get out of their cars and chat- sometimes I just don’t feel like it. I use the time to do online shopping or reply to emails etc, or sometimes just relax and goof around on my phone.

I tell my husband to do this on his way home. He literally pulls over into a parking lot and watches movies to wind down from his day. He comes home so much calmer.

I did this today. I had an errand to run and drop something off at the UPS store. It’s actually in the grocery store parking lot so afterwards I just sat there in my car for close to 45 minutes scrolling on my phone. I figured if someone checked my location, they would assume I was at the grocery store.

Kids and DH were home all day. and I needed some alone time and to get away.. Funny, when I finally came home, no one even missed me.

I’ve done this when I’ve had a babysitter and a little extra time on the clock.

I 100% get it. Ask him if he would like some alone time in the house some evenings or weekends. For some it is how we recharge.

Major red flag. He’s definitely up to something, probably anonymous gay hook-ups from grinder or a similar site. Whenever you see men in parking lots like that they’re up to shady stuff.

You might give him some alone time in the house if he’d like that. I adore my spouse yet deeply appreciate time to putter around in the house ALONE.

If he wanted alone time, why would he drive from where he works to random parking lots? Why not just sit in his car where he works?

Totally believable to me- I do the same thing occasionally. Sometimes I want to just be alone, play on my phone, etc where no one will bother me. Other times I just want to have a long phone convo with my sister or old friend etc. without interruptions

Depends on the parking lot. Check the location. Any Massage places nearby?

This is totally a thing. I have coworkers who lie to their spouses that they are on diets together and totally eat trash at lunch time paying cash.

Same. It’s the only time I have to myself. I’ve even sat in my driveway for 10+ minutes just to regroup before entering the craziness of a home with young kids.

OP yes it's totally believable that he's just stopping to decompress for a bit, and as much as you seem to track him, I can't see why...
