Our school sent home today in Wed folders and sent an email explaining that they just received the score reports from the county this morning.

Did any Haycock kids receive scores?

What school is that? Almost every high SES school in the county provides better services than low SES, simply because the PTA is better funded.

There is not a PTA.

That seems impossible. Name school names, please.

Yes but many low SES schools get federal Title 1 funding.

"can afford"? Go to Chantilly Kumon Center, full of middle class or maybe lower SES immigrant families, East Asian, South Asian, Latino, Eastern Europeans and god knows what. Most kids are at one year or two years above grade level. It's about priorities. We go there because we have to use up the VA acceleration grant, otherwise we won't do the tutoring.

Nothing either. I hope this means all schools will get them before the break. Seems like it would be unfair otherwise.

We had the opposite, my kid was sick during the CogAt and got a 118 but his NNAT was higher, 130. We’ll see what happens. I won’t get my hopes up. He does seem to be fairly well liked by the teachers and our ES and pyramid are not one of the most competitive ones.

Nothing in my kid’s backpack or on SIS either.

And more importantly, did you guys finish the CogAT before or after the nationwide multi-week pause in testing?
