A summer camp like what? OP hasn't provided any details about it.

Extend this from the camp to co-parenting. The real issue is that the Dad, given all the money he puts into parenting this kid, wants the kid to continue attending the camp that the KID wants to continue attending.

Plus with co-parenting and 50-50 custody the kid is going to have anyone the Dad designates taking care of the kid during the Dad's custody time. So almost assuredly the Camp Director will wind up spending time with the kid as the solo caretaker at some point during the Dad's custody time.

The real issue is that the Mom needs to take a look in the mirror and get over herself. What did SHE do to push the Dad into the Camp Director's arms? How did SHE fail? Each time she gobbled a pint of Ben & Jerry's rather than doing her Pilates, that was one more movement pushing the husband away from her. it's time she recognized that and stopped trying to punish the Dad and by extension the kid, for the KID's sake who she supposedly LOVES.

Pro tip- don’t use “elite” when it is completely unnecessary as it is in this case. I know what you mean however it means nothing in this situation. Your kid loves the camp and has been going there for years that’s all we need to know about said camp.

I think it was a basic lack of good decision making and there are a ton of martial art studios so yea, it's not silly to me.
