FWIW My 3rd grader who is solid at math, but not a superstar at her W6 DCPS (top 10% of her grade, but top few) tested just about exactly on grade level when we did the placement earlier this year (i.e., said to start 3C at Xmas break). Maybe the gap gets bigger as they get older?
