I absolutely don't check voicemails either. Iphone does have voice to text though, so it transcribes what the person said. That's all I will do.

I turned off voicemail at work even. It's just a bad form of communication. If you want instant connection you text or call back. Even emails get instant response from me.

Then why leave a message at all? Just call and call until you get them to pick up.

NP here. I think it's crazy that the mom left a VM and daughter didn't bother to listen to it. I'd be pissed too that daughter didn't bother to listen to my VM. Shows how important mom is.

Also, just curious, OP are you the daughter who asked your mom to come to your house for Thanksgiving instead of hers as usual, then Dad was going to be in town and asked to come over? If so, you're showing your colors in terms of how you feel about your mom.
