It is low. The PP that I was responding to asked if “ANYONE is actually dying from COVID anymore “ — and the answer to that is:Yes. I think respiratory illness rates have been rising in recent weeks, and my guess is that some of that will be COVID, and some of THAT will be mild. I don’t think we really know yet, though, if there will be predictable patterns. And then there’s whatever illness(es) they’re now dealing with in China….

Not getting the vaccine is reckless. There is a systemic response to the virus which has long term damage.

+1 You seriously cannot think this will protect you from shingles. That is a vaccine I will begrudgingly get because I don't want shingles even though the vaccine will suck.

+1 if it helps reduce the risk of long covid, I’m for it. We all got flu + covid booster at the same time at our pediatrician’s drive-through vaccine clinic. I’ll take even a slight chance of benefit, given the only drawback for me is a sore arm.

My doctor told me to wait because I’m on a medication that reduces the efficacy of all viral vaccines.

My kid got it and he barely had a sniffle when it went around his class right before Thanksgiving.

Not wanting long covid or getting shingles again is why I’m part of the 14%.

I wanted it earlier and was almost impossible to get an appointment, and my doctor didn't have any. Practice just announced they have vaccines this week.

Flu and Covid vaccines usually take me down for about 48 hours, so I also have to plan. Will probably get the Covid vaccine next week and the flu vaccine a few weeks later.

They really messed up not making money available for county / city / state vaccine clinics for states that wanted them. I find that to be so much easier than messing around with pharmacy appointment scheduling.
