Wow I feel really bad for some of you folks that have had to work with some horrible HR people that have tainted your views. I have had the displeasure of working with some myself but to call everyone in HR stupid is beyond the pale. In every position I've ever held, I've worked my ass off to undo people's bad experiences with past HR people. Good, responsive, supportive HR professionals exist out here people!

It's right there in the name "Human Resources".

Did you think "Accounts Receivable" exists to make the Accounts feel better?

Like the government, HR is useful when your interests align with theirs.

Huh, am I the only one who worked at an org with a rogue HR? Management and employees were scared to death of interacting with them and they drafted policies that had management openly fuming.
