We have a cleaner who comes 1X/week. She has been working for us for nearly a decade. Whenever we are out of town, she has off with pay. When our kids were home, that meant 1-2x in the spring and winter and 2-3x in the summer. It’s a little more frequent now. I provide two weeks’ bonus at end of year in addition to the paid vacation.

Sometimes she asks if she can come another day if one of her other clients needs her on our day. I always say yes as I can’t imagine ever finding someone who has such attention to detail and is as reliable and trustworthy.
