When I was little growing up in my dysfunctional family with alcoholic abusive adulterer mentally ill parents, I wanted the Carters to be my parents. Later on in life I wanted to find a person with whom I could have a marriage like that - which is why I ended up sticking to singledom.
I work in hospice so my heart is happy for Rosalynn’s from her earthly body, as I will be for Jimmy when his time comes and I would bet that will be very, very soon - they were that kind of couple.

She lived an exemplary life despite difficult times and public scrutiny. Her actions were consistent with her stated beliefs and goals. They seemed to have a true partnership.
