This is where I am going with this. The size & layout of the master bathroom make it not an especially pleasant setting to chill in a bath, but could be a very nice shower. I feel like bathtubs are mostly for bathing kids and pets. But I care about resale, so asking here.

We never use our jetted tub in the master. It’s now where we keep our laundry baskets. We actually took out the bath shower combo in the hall to make a much larger shower for our kids. They love it.

Is there any way you could do both at the same time? Maybe not all in on the hall, but a refresh at the same time as the Master bath. We thought about doing our bath updates separately but it would have cost way more than combining projects.

This is the situation in my current house, and it is one of the very few things I dislike about the house. I would much prefer a bathtub in the master bath since taking a bath in the “kids” bathroom is not as relaxing. I would be willing to have a smaller bedroom to make this possible.
