There are usually multiple varieties of all that stuff for each school. Your sister could get one style and you could buy another.
If the school is a big sports school, online stores like Fanatics will have tons of gear. Or you could get him those big overalls that students wear to the football games...I actually love those.

When my kid got into their ED school, we immediately drove there that weekend and spent probably $600 in the bookstore on stuff. It's fun, give them a gift card.
Holy crap! When I went to college I bought a $10 t-shirt from some guy walking through the dorms selling them, and that was the only college swag I ever bought. I think my parents asked I wanted them to put a sticker on their rearview mirror and I told them not to de-value their car that way. $600 seems totally over the top and ridiculous.
