I know this isn’t what you had in mind, but Edward’s Chocolate Creme Pie in the frozen foods section is excellent and I think better than most chocolate cream pies I’ve had.

I’m a food snob and this is excellent. Hydrogenated oils and all. I would definitely get this over any pie from Costco or grocery store bakery, if you want easy. If nothing else, the kids will be all over it

I prefer fruit pies ( don’t like pumpkin pies). The pp’s cherry pie sounds good.

I’m going to do The NY Times maple nutmeg pie that’s floated around here for a few years. It always sounded so good and I finally am tasked with a dessert.

In addition to the more traditional Thanksgiving pies, I always make a key lime pie. The one I make is chiffon-style, with a graham cracker crust and whipped cream rather than meringue.
It always disappears before any other dessert.
