Irony is that progressives are typically the most conformist and non-diverse people there are.
SSSAS is not going to do it for OP (or “gay dude” PP) if they want to avoid anything outside strict gender binary. We have quite a few non-binary and trans students and even some who—horrors—shave or dye their hair. You can rest easy on the fear of cut off Jean shorts, though, that’s against dress code.

As someone with a kid there and loves the school, I would say no. The “woke” (ugh, that word!) culture would send OP into a tizzy.

I get it. I am a liberal Democrat, and I think that few DEI admin have the administrative skill set to do the job well. I would not vote for a Republican for a public school board, but I definitely believe that if DEI is not done well, it can do a lot more damage than good.
I would also never send my gay child to a Catholic school. Yes, there are gay students and gay teachers, but any bright kid is going to quickly figure out the dissonance between the attitudes of individuals and official church teachings. Catholic schools have and will fire gay teachers for getting married, no matter how beloved the teacher is by students.
That being said, OP, I think that you need to think about the trade-offs. There are schools like Sidwell and GDS that are academically very strong, but are very progressive. Your child will receive an excellent education at those schools and leave extremely well prepared for college, politics aside.
