Even before the attack calling them was useless. Absolutely hated them as a servicer

“Mr Cooper” is the hands-down, absolute WORST! And what marketing genius came up with the name “Mr Cooper”? Probably the bright idea of some nepo gravy baby. It most certainly DOES NOT inspire anything positive. Just try to deal with this company, and you will quickly see what I mean. Shame on USAA for selling my mortgage to this incompetent company.

Sometimes chasing the lowest bidder is a bad deal.

You get what you pay for.

You don't choose who your loan is serviced by, generally. Could be bought by anyone. We had two different servicers the first year after we refinanced.

Many credit unions (e.g., Navy FCU) have a policy to NEVER sell the servicing of a mortgage which they originated. Something to consider for next time.

You are so wrong. Your servicer is just that: somebody service your loan. If your loan is low risk, Fannie or Freddie might buy and hold it. If not, it is packaged with millions of other loans and sold as mortgage backed security on Wall Street. Could be any bank.

Our mortgage was also bought by Mr Cooper. Nothing but problems! It’s frustrating just trying to communicate with a human and their website doesn’t even have a logout key. We’re refinancing with our local bank and combining credit card debt and some other things we pay on monthly. With all that our house payment will be much less than it is now so life will be much easier for us financially.

We contacted Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, have filed a complaint. Daniel said, that Mr. Cooper has 30-60 days to respond...Wish us luck!!

Everyone should me saving every receipt and every file relating to their mortgage accounts. Save paper copies, save on jump drives. We're only one cyber attack away from people's mortgage accounts from being meddled with so that the last 15 years of payments don't show up.

Worst company ever. Wells Fargo just sold my loan after 8 years and almost paid off. Never late. Cooper app awful. You can’t call anyone. Still don’t have a current statement. Amazing what this world is coming to. Worst customer service and automated phone line ever.

Mr. Cooper bought our mortgage in 2021. It’s < 2 percent so I assume no company will be stupid enough to buy that mortgage from them, so I think we’re stuck with them. Payment went through 11/6 and as far as I know things are ok with payments that were already set up. But seems like a less generally.

Our monthly mortgage payment was deducted, but we still can’t get through to a human (as of Friday).
