She still wants plants from a nursery, I promise! There are things your friends don’t have, a new color of this, a later flowering version of that, a flat of seedlings from a native plant that is hard to germinate. And lots of plants don’t split well (you can’t split a honeysuckle or wisteria). But there are indeed a ton of gardening gifts, so no worries.

My favorites are a dozen 10ft bamboo poles, really nice wire or twine, and a bulk load of manure. No one seems to believe me, though, so I usually end up with more garden gloves.
