Yes, but only because I live in a safe apartment building. It's usually a neighbor messing up the floor again, or another neighbor or maintenance.

I also don't answer unless I'm expecting someone; however, I can see our front stoop clearly from a window that's next to the front door, so I'll usually peek out. That was helpful the other day when it was someone from Orkin (we have a contract with them) who was here mistakenly. I've also taught our young adult DD never to answer the door randomly but to check to see if it's someone she knows or someone with a business we use, like Orkin or the yard service (she'd see their truck and know it was them).

Sometimes. My dog loses her mind when the doorbell rings so sometimes I answer it just to shut her up. Only during daylight.

I have no problem saying a quick “no thank you. Not interested” and shut the door. I’m usually home alone. Not terribly concerned.

My 10 yo has the neighborhood kids ringing all the time. So I always at least check who it is. If it's not a kid, I ignore.

The best is that when we are not home, they have no way of really knowing we aren't home when we talk to them through the speaker from our cell phones.

I think remote doorbells are common enough that it is not like they do not know that you may or may not be there.

Best invention ever.

No. And I can’t believe businesses still
Send people door to door to sell anything. We used to get a lot of gutter cleaning and pest control services doing this.

I check because neighbors do stop by a few times per week without calling/texting. If it’s a stranger, I don’t answer.

Rarely. It's almost always someone selling something I have no interest in buying.
