The costumes, the candy, the idiocy of it all happening on a weekday, the unpredictable weather for an outdoor event, figuring out the timing, the social stress of kids figuring out who trick or treat with, etc. I love doing kids birthdays, family holidays, the 4th of July, planning family vacations. I get into the first day and last day of school, and I love the day to day of parenting and getting to watch my kids grow up. But I hate Halloween.
I never say it out loud but the truth is I'm SO HAPPY that I now have 364 days before I have to do it again.
Anyone else?

MCPS has no school today, I love it!
