You withheld these important details in your OP. I previously said i wouldn't if it happened once, but based on this new information, yes I'd call for a tow/ticket.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Towing is a little aggressive OP. Yes I would be really annoyed if this were my driveway but you can get in and out really with no problem, unless you're a really $hitty driver in which case you shouldn't be on the road. Now if it happens again heck yes. Also you may want to invest in some cones to set up at the edges of your driveway.
OP here, no, I can't get in and out "with no problem". The street is one way so you can only back out one direction, which requires swinging the car around this asshat that has blocked about two feet of swing space. No way Arlington or my neighbors would let me cone off an area in the street. I also have a 16 year old new driver and I don't want them hitting the car.
It will be 48 hours at noon today. Dude is getting ticketed.

Anonymous wrote:I'm not sure how to get a car ticketed - do you call 311? But yes, if I knew how to navigate a path to getting them a ticket for doing this I would do it. I've actually gotten a ticket for this (it was dark and I had to park one street over from my normal block, I didn't realize the driveway was there and ended up too close, almost exactly like this picture). One ticket and I check my distance to driveways obsessively now; maybe your neighbor will be similarly chastised.
