If you know it will make you anxious, just don't go. Eating the cost and not going is better than going and having a terrible time because it scares you.

I'm creeped out at the idea. Moot, though, since he's been working 16 hour days and doesn't have childcare outside of my working hours.

My husband is big law, when we had to cancel vacation in the past when he was an associate , the firm reimbursed

I would see if any one wants to accompany, or if they can use it. Even for a few days if not the whole week.

What would you do?

Where In new England? I'll give $500 for it.

Where in New England? There's mass shooting in Maine, they have not caught the guy.

Where in new England? Anywhere within 100 miles of where the shooting was?

And how far from services? My answer depends on those two.

All of them.

Don't watch TV, but yeah, I probably read too many thrillers.

I think you watch too much Hulu.

Do you have any family or friends who would enjoy a last minute vacation like this? My dad is retired and he would join in a heartbeat.

You lost me at primitive.

I’m a dissenter. I used to do lots of road trips with my preschoolers and unless you’re talking about something that requires hiking in a long distance or tens of miles on unmaintained forest service roads I think the safety risks are not that high. If you will be worried or otherwise not enjoy going solo it wouldn’t be worth it though.

Nope, I would not go.

I would try both asking dhs employer for partial reimbursement, as well as explaining the situation to the host.
