Is that good? I am feeling a bit deflated.

That's great, OP!
I had an egg retrieval at 36yo. 22 retrieved, 12 fertilized, 7 made it to 5 days to be tested. 3 were normal. I got pregnant twice from those 3 normal embryos (1 successful pregnancy, 1 ectopic).

Good luck with your first transfer!

That's average for 36. You had a far above average number survive. In theory, by the stats from where you started (7) you should have had 1 or no normal embryos. So yeah much better than the stats.

Congrats OP! Also, something that may be helpful (and free - or I guess 13$) to this community is a book called Glucose Revolution. Glucose spikes are absolutely related to fertility . . .

This is amazing! Make sure you use the current technology PGT-P to screen for overall health issues. You can pick embryos that have, on average, 4 year longer health span due to decreased risk of diabetes, heart disease, schizophrenia, etc.

Wow I don't think I've ever heard of that good of a retention for embryos. I did have friends get 9 out of 11 embryos abnormal, though.

Op here. day 6 update. 6 embryos are now blastocysts, have been biopsied and frozen. The 7th is still growing so they are waiting until tomorrow to see if it too can join the rest.

I AM SO HAPPY!!

PGTA results will arrive by mid-November and transfer in the new year.

So happy for you OP

That is a huge number. I recall retrieval of 11 and only got 1.

She's talking fertilized, so not day 5 blasts. By the odds only 1 or less will make it to day 5.
