I know several people who went to certain schools who are just extremely horrible people and I hate them, and I like to trash their schools on these boards sometimes out of spite.
It has zero to do with how hard the school is to get into, especially now, since the people who make me hate these schools all went to college in the late 90s or early 00s.
But I also think it's interesting that other people ALSO seem to hate Notre Dame. Maybe it produces a lot of very annoying graduates?
NP. Wow. I literally cannot imagine being so dedicated to a grudge this way. This seems profoundly maladjusted to me.
+1 The PP could be one of the most immature responses I've seen on DCUM. And that's saying a lot!

Well, this is the DMV area, so…
While this is absolutely true, many in the DMV are completely obnoxious, I would venture to say this particular response was sarcasm. Can't believe you bit on it. To answer the OP I only see that kind of behavior on this board which amplifies the previous observation. In my normal face to face encounters with real and well-adjusted adults I never see this behavior.

there are some personalities in this subculture, I've grown to really dislike, like the admissions dean at Dartmouth. Pompous, delusional, some weird belief he's an agent of equity. I'm so over this bullshit.
