You should be happy to see hockey and basketball tournaments there. It means they’re running the place efficiently and earning revenue, which allows this incredible local facility to exist and be available to us. How long do you think a place like that would be around if the parking lot was empty and you walked inside and nothing was happening?
Guessing you’ve never run a business before.
Or maybe you once ran a single field indoor league of your own and had it overtaken by the St James?
Either way you sound like a lovely person, fine for the rest of us not to have you there. But it will be sad for your kid, if you’re actually a parent, to miss out. It’s not about us, remember? Supportive parents don’t care about driving long hours to Bel Air or circling parking lots, things that apparently matter more to you.
Why anyone would be so vocally against the St James is beyond me, unless of course there’s a business motivation behind it.
Quick heads up, you are trying to engage in a reasonable manner with the same group of trolls who just got the 2028 page cancelled. As soon as they start flogging their tired tropes and socioeconomic gripes, they are pretty easy to spot.
Normal people realize we are lucky to have St James, don't count the dollars per game difference with last year, and just walk from the back instead of paying a valet. But you aren't talking to normal people. Multi-paragraphs are cat-nip for these clowns, so beware.
