Our club talks about IMX through middle school to make sure kids aren’t specializing too early but by high school it no longer matters. For college recruiting the IMX score doesn’t matter because at that point you are specializing in certain events. For example, if you are a breaststroke/IM recruit no one cares about what you do in the 500 free, or 200 fly, or 200 back.
