So many Airbnb listings are "no parties." I assume the hosts want to prevent loud drunken events with lots of cars and property damage, and that a parental chaperoned movie focused sleepover with a handful of teens is okay, but did you end up clearing it with the host ahead of time?

In their group, it’s more common to just do a restaurant meal or party at home. Another popular thing is getting hotel rooms or going to someone’s beach house.
No teenager should have a hotel room party. I think parents that consent to this are very disturbing.

Butler's Orchard in MD has bonfires that cost about $400. The provide the bonfire and you bring everything else. Definitely a different experience for city/inner burb kids, bet there's someplace in VA that would provide this.
Letting them go to a restaurant together by themselves was a hit at the age.
Walking around shopping in georgetown + dinner + movie.
Halloween fests? Kings dominion with just a couple of friends, or Hershey - overnight trip.
